The sound is recorded by your iPhone or iPad. To do this, you plug the receiver into the Lightning port of your iOS device. The microphone set is immediately ready to be used; both with audio and video apps. You simply start your video recording with the standard iOS/iPadOS app. This way, your recordings will be automatically provided with sound from the microphone.

Live listening to your recordings is done via the 3.5mm port. There you connect any headphones. The transmitter has a built-in omnidirectional microphone. You attach the clip on the back of the transmitter to your neck to record your voice directly. It is also possible to connect a lavalier microphone via the MIC IN port. The BY-XM series comes as a complete set, including lavalier microphone and charging cables.
